The 2011 Pro Pilot PRASE survey results listed us as 4th Best Independent FBO and the 7th Best FBO in the United States. The PRASE survey rates FBO’s across the nation in 6 categories ranging from line team, customer service, facilities, amenities, promptness & efficiency, as well as value for price.  JIM ALLEN • 1935-2011
On June 23, Jim Allen passed away surrounded by family, friends and loved ones at the Aurora Medical Center in Denver. Jim left this world in the very same fashion that he lived his life here, full of joy, happiness and surrounded by people he loved.
As CEO of the Vail Valley Jet Center, he was able to combine his visionary talents with his passion for flying. Jim’s biggest dream for the airport was not only in transforming it from a regional to an international airport, but also for the VVJC to be among the top 10 FBOs in the country. He was really pleased with our accomplishments this year.
The airport was just a small part of the work Jim was involved in; he also dedicated his time to the Youth Foundation, as well as served on numerous other nonprofit boards.
His legacy lives on through the community and here at the Vail Valley Jet Center and the Eagle County Airport.

The Vail Valley Jet Center is pleased to announce a new program which allows you to pre-book hangar space for the most desirable times of the year. Until recently, hangar space could only be reserved three months prior to your visit. However, we are now giving you a unique opportunity to book your space UP TO A YEAR in advance.

**Customers must reserve a minimum of four consecutive nights. If the customer departs early or cancels the reservation, a 50% refund will be credited. Cancelations must be made 24 hours in advance. If a customer chooses to extend their stay beyond the prepaid nights, they will be subject to the regular nightly rate, depending on space availability. Premium rates apply. A hangar agreement must be signed and full payment received before space is guaranteed. The VVJC reserves the right to modify or cancel this program at any time.
